- Prepares and maintains equipment for procedures, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Conducts thorough patient assessments, identifying potential risks and taking necessary precautions to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborates with cardiologists and electrophysiologists to provide comprehensive care, from preparation to recovery.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment, adhering to strict protocols to prevent infections and complications.
- Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance skills and confidence.
- Utilizes downtime effectively, restocking rooms and checking equipment to maintain efficiency and optimize workflow.
Qualifications
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
- Previous procedural area experience preferred, but not required.
