What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostic Medical Imaging Professional position at Norman Regional Health System?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationship with the physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have completed a recognized Radiologic Technology program and hold appropriate certifications. Previous Procedural Area experience is preferred. The candidate must also possess basic life support skills and obtain Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
