Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rad Technologist to join our Cath Lab team at Norman Regional Health System. As a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and operating cardiovascular imaging equipment, ensuring a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing equipment before and during procedures
- Identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
- Maintaining a sterile environment
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
- Using downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks
Key qualifications for this role include:
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS
- Previous procedural area experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; current BLS required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
