Job Description:
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist is responsible for patient care during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring equipment is prepared and a sterile environment is maintained. This role involves collaborating with cardiologists, serving as a preceptor for new staff, and completing required training and certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures
- Assess patient condition and provide individualized care
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff members and radiology students
- Participate in downtime activities, such as stocking rooms and checking equipment
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or RCIS from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
