Job Summary
- Prepares, updates, edits and analyzes plans, policies, and procedures for all possible hazards in the areas of preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, evaluation and improvement.
- Coordinates training for Safety and Emergency Preparedness projects and systems.
- Coordinates Safety/Security department related committees.
- Designs data collection forms and prepares reports for departmental programs and activities.
- Assist the Safety/Security Department in daily functions of the Environment of Care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Take over Safety responsibility in the absence of the Director.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor degree preferred or 2 years of direct Safety and Emergency Preparedness experience. Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, NIMS and Incident Command. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office package and the ability to utilize electronic tablets during inspections.
Experience
Two years of experience in Safety or Emergency Management. Healthcare preferred.
