This Clinical Dietitian-PRN role at Norman Regional Health System involves conducting initial and ongoing nutrition assessments to evaluate patient conditions. Required Qualifications:
Registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is essential. A basic knowledge of subspecialty areas, including nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, and oncology, is also required. Approximately 15 hours of continuing education credits per calendar year must be maintained to stay current with new research findings.
A minimum of six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility is preferred. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State Dietitian license must be achieved within the first six months of employment. A food handler's permit from the Cleveland County Health department is also necessary before hire.
