Job Summary
Job Summary
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establishes a plan of care.
- Provides therapeutic interventions appropriate to the age and disability of the patient.
- Documents delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
- Educates patients, family, caregivers, significant others, and staff members.
- Directs and supervises activities of Occupational Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel.
- Promotes physical rehabilitation services through community/system based education activities, marketing opportunities, and support groups.
- Accepts the role of a Clinical Instructor to supervise/educate students from accredited occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant programs.
- Participates in planning for the provision of patient care services.
- Provides staff in-service upon returning from continuing education or professional conferences.
Education
Bachelor's degree of Science in Occupational Therapy.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners or a graduate OT eligible for Oklahoma licensure/temporary license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.

Education
- Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy
Licensure / Certification
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners or Occupational Therapist graduate eligible for Oklahoma licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).
