Job Responsibilities
The Surgical Technologist I plays a critical role in the surgical services department by ensuring a sterile environment and assisting physicians to promote optimal patient outcomes. This involves preparing for procedures, providing and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, and being responsible for personal continuing education and professional practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must have completed an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience. National certification in surgical technology is highly preferred, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Cath lab: RCIS certification is preferred, and ALS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment.
