Job Description
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System plays a critical role in an innovative cardiovascular program, preparing and maintaining sterile environments for patient procedures.
This position involves collaborating closely with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists, ensuring high-quality patient care while also serving as a mentor for new staff.
Applicants must have relevant certifications and maintain their skills through ongoing training in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifying and assessing patient condition. Prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
- Maintaining a sterile environment.
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
- Using downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
- Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.
Education and Experience:
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $27.84-$45.46/hr based on previous work experience.
