What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rad Tech Cath Lab Opening position at Norman Regional Health System?
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
- Participate in orientation of new staff and utilize downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and performing other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registered with the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certifications within 6 months of hire.
