Job Description: The Norman Regional Health System is seeking a highly skilled Rad Tech - Cath Lab Specialist to prepare equipment, ensure a sterile environment, and provide patient care during cardiovascular procedures. This role involves mentoring new hires and collaborating with cardiologists to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of equipment before and during procedures.
- Assessment and provision of patient care.
- Establishment and maintenance of a sterile environment.
- Preceptoring of new hires and radiology students.
- Efficient use of downtime for tasks such as room stocking and equipment checking.
- Development of strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate optimal patient care.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 24-month formal Radiologic Technology program or military equivalent with ARRT eligibility and/or current RCIS registration.
- Previous Procedural Area experience is preferred.
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or registration with the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
