Job Description
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist is responsible for preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. This critical role requires collaboration with cardiologists, participation in training new hires, and adherence to safety and care protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment preparation and maintenance.
- Patient assessment and care.
- Sterile environment establishment and maintenance.
- Precepting new hires and radiology students.
- Utilizing downtime effectively.
- Maintaining strong relationships with physicians and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- Preferred experience in a Cath Lab setting.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
