The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in the delivery of exceptional cardiovascular care at Norman Regional Health System. About the Job
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for preparing equipment and providing patient care in a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures, while also maintaining a sterile environment throughout each procedure.
Responsibilities
• Prepare equipment before and during procedures, ensuring all necessary materials are available and easily accessible.
• Identify and assess patient condition, preparing and positioning patients for care in accordance with established protocols.
• Establish and maintain a sterile environment throughout each procedure, adhering to strict guidelines to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
• Participate in the orientation of new staff and serve as a preceptor for radiology students, sharing your expertise and knowledge to support the growth and development of our team members.
Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have completed a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with eligibility and/or current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required prior to providing patient care, with ACLS training expected within six months of hire.
