Job Description
The Radial Catheterization Imaging Technician at Norman Regional Health System plays a vital role in the delivery of high-quality cardiovascular care. This position involves preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and providing essential patient care. The technician maintains a sterile environment and assists in the orientation of new staff, ensuring a collaborative team dynamic with cardiologists and other specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Participate in the orientation of new staff.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support.
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
