Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and certified Rad Technologist to join our Cath Lab team at Norman Regional Health System. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and assisting in cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient care and maintaining a sterile environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures, maintaining sterility and proper function.
- Identify and assess patient condition, preparing them for procedures and providing care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required within six months of hire.
