About the Job
This critical role requires expertise in preparing and providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures while ensuring a sterile environment. The successful candidate will serve as a preceptor for new employees and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree from an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support.
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
