Responsibilities and Requirements
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing equipment and providing patient care in a sterile environment before and during cardiovascular procedures. They will collaborate with a team of cardiologists and mentor new staff, ensuring compliance with health standards and protocols. To achieve this, they will need to hold relevant certifications and complete necessary orientation and training to maintain patient safety and high-quality care. The requirements include being a graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program, with one year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred. Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS is also required. Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire is essential.
