Key Responsibilities and Skills
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Preparation and operation of imaging equipment
- Patient positioning and preparation
- Sterile environment maintenance
- Preceptorship and training for new staff
- Equipment maintenance and stocking
Education and Qualifications
Candidates must hold a 24-month formal program or military program completion in Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification. Previous procedural area experience is beneficial.
Training and Certification
Candidates must hold American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification. Desired certifications include Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI). Individuals must complete Basic Life Support training during orientation, followed by regular maintenance throughout employment. ACLS training should be completed within six months of hiring and maintained throughout employment.
