Job Description
This position involves collaborating with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, mentoring new staff, and actively participating in departmental training. Candidates are required to have a formal radiologic technology education, relevant certifications, and experience in a procedural setting. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participate in the orientation of new staff
Requirements
- Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Registered and/or RCIS. Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
