Job Description:
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in the cardiovascular program at Norman Regional Health System. This position requires preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of equipment before and during procedures.
- Identification and assessment of patient conditions, preparation, positioning, and provision of patient care.
- Establishment and maintenance of a sterile environment.
- Professional practice, including serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Utilization of downtime appropriately by performing tasks delegated by the Charge person or manager.
- Development and maintenance of strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Education and Experience:
Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with eligibility for and/or current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Previous procedural area experience preferred.
