Role Overview
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a critical role in preparing equipment and providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures. This position requires maintaining a sterile environment and collaborating with cardiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Act as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate exceptional patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or
- Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
