Role Summary:
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in our innovative cardiovascular program, responsible for preparing and maintaining equipment, assessing patient conditions, and providing care in a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures. This role also involves serving as a preceptor for new hires and ensuring strong collaboration with physicians to enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Preparation: Prepare and maintain equipment, including catheters, guidewires, and imaging devices.
2. Patient Care: Assess patient conditions, prepare, position, and provide patient care during cardiovascular procedures.
3. Sterile Environment: Establish and maintain a sterile environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
4. Preceptorship: Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
• One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
• Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
