What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technologist - Cath Lab Operations Coordinator position at Norman Regional Health System?
As a Radiologic Technologist at Norman Regional Health System, you will play a critical role in our innovative cardiovascular program. This role involves preparing and operating equipment in a sterile environment for cardiovascular procedures while providing exceptional patient care.
Collaboration with cardiologists and other medical staff is essential to ensure high-quality outcomes through strict adherence to protocols and training standards. You must be certified and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care
- Maintain a sterile environment
- Participate in the orientation of new staff and serve as a preceptor for radiology students
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
