Radiologic Technologist - Cath Lab Position

The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System plays a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality patient care during cardiovascular procedures while maintaining a sterile environment. This position involves preparing and operating complex medical equipment, assessing patient conditions, and serving as a mentor to new staff and students. The ideal candidate must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Program, with relevant certifications and experience in a Cath Lab setting.

Norman Regional Health System is nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area, featuring an innovative cardiovascular program and cutting-edge facilities. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our Catheterization Laboratory team. In this role, you will work closely with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to deliver top-notch patient care. Our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.

Responsibilities
This position involves the following key responsibilities:

• Preparation and operation of complex medical equipment before and during procedures.
• Patient assessment and preparation for procedures, including positioning and providing patient care.
• Maintenance of a sterile environment and adherence to all relevant safety protocols.
• Servicing as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participation in the orientation of new staff.
• Utilization of downtime effectively, including stocking rooms, checking equipment, and performing other delegated tasks by the Charge person or manager.
• Development and maintenance of strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
