Job Summary
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist is responsible for preparing equipment and providing patient care in a cardiovascular program that emphasizes innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Preparation: Prepare equipment before and during procedures, ensuring that everything is ready for optimal patient care.
- Patient Assessment: Identify and assess patient conditions, preparing and positioning patients for procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care.
- Training and Development: Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, using downtime to check equipment and complete other delegated tasks.
- Professional Relationships: Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or a Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
