What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technologist - Cath Lab position at Norman Regional Health System?
Work Environment
Our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. We work closely with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures
- Identifies and assesses patient condition
- Prepares, positions and provides patient care
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students
- Participates in the orientation of new staff
Requirements
- Must have completed a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology
- Must have passed the ARRT exam or be eligible for registration with the RCIS
- Must have previous procedural area experience
- Must have current BLS certification and maintain it throughout employment
