Job Summary:
The Cath Lab technologist will be responsible for preparing equipment and providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures. This role requires a strong partnership with cardiologists and a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment and professional standards.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of equipment and positioning of patients for procedures
- Patient assessment and provision of appropriate care
- Maintenance of a sterile environment and adherence to infection control protocols
- Precepting new hires and radiology students
- Participation in downtime activities such as stocking rooms and checking equipment
- Fostering strong working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Basic Life Support certification
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
- Previous procedural area experience preferred
