About the Position
The Diagnostic Technologist - Cardiovascular Unit will be responsible for preparing equipment and providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures. This individual will work closely with cardiologists to ensure a sterile environment and maintain excellent patient relationships.
Responsibilities
* Prepares equipment before and during procedures
* Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care
* Establishes and maintains a sterile environment
* Participates in the orientation of new staff and serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students
Requirements
* Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS
* Previous procedural area experience preferred
* Registration from the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
* Basic Life Support training required
