As a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist, you will prepare and operate specialized equipment for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient care and maintaining a sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification.
- Previous procedural area experience preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification, with Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support training required during orientation, with current Basic Life Support required to be maintained throughout employment.
- ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
