About the Role:
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist is a vital member of our cardiovascular program, responsible for preparing and assisting during cardiovascular procedures. This position requires a unique blend of technical skills, clinical knowledge, and interpersonal abilities, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare and set up equipment for procedures, ensuring accuracy and precision
- Assist with patient positioning and care, maintaining a safe and respectful environment
- Contribute to the maintenance of a sterile environment, adhering to infection control protocols and guidelines
- Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date with industry developments
- Participate in preceptorship programs and contribute to the orientation of new staff members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Registration as a RT or RCIS credential
- Current BLS certification and ACLS training within 6 months of hire
- Previous procedural area experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift, push, or pull equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and bending required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing excellent patient care and working collaboratively with the healthcare team
