About the CV Rad Imaging Technologist Role
This is a key role in our cardiovascular program, requiring a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Radiologic Technology and RCIS certification.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire.
