Job Description
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a critical role in our cardiovascular program by preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment during cardiac procedures. This position requires collaboration with cardiologists and electrophysiologists, as well as precepting new hires while ensuring optimal patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care
- Maintain a sterile environment
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participate in the orientation of new staff
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
- Maintain strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
