What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technology Professional position at Norman Regional Health System?
We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technician to join our Cath Lab team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures while maintaining a sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Assess patient condition and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification. Prior Procedural Area experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration, registered and/or RCIS certified. Cardiovascular (CV), (CI), or (VI) certification is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current BLS certification is required to be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through the duration of employment.
