**Job Description:**
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist is responsible for preparing equipment and providing patient care in a cardiovascular setting. This role involves maintaining a sterile environment, assessing patient conditions, and supporting new staff through mentorship. The position requires certification in Radiologic Technology and a commitment to ongoing education and patient care standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures
- Identify and assess patient condition
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
**Requirements:**
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS
- Previous procedural area experience preferred
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
- Basic Life Support training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care
- Current Basic Life Support required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
- ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment
