Job Description
Norman Regional Health System's Intermediate Care (IMC) unit is a dedicated stroke center that provides critical care to patients with complex medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systematically assess and reassess the healthcare needs of individuals, involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, involving patients, families, and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Provide nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and meet needs, utilizing professional judgment guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
- Evaluate discharge needs related to the plan of care, utilizing resources as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Previous experience in the healthcare field is desirable.
- Bachelor Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current BLS certification is mandatory and must be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment.
- New graduates are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
Compensation and Benefits:
- 46/hr based on previous work experience.
- Shift differentials available: $50/hr for evenings, $3.00/hr for overnights, and $3.00/hr for weekends.
