- Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
- Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.
- Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
- Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
- Documents nursing care and activities.
- Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.
- Assists with the training of other staff.
- Assists departmental assistant with clinical matters.QualificationsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.Experience
- Prefer at least 1-2 year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and / or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)Licensure / Certification
- Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.Compensation / Benefits
- 17.39-$28.40 / hr depending on previous work experience.
