Position : Facilities Maintenance Tech 1- Custodian
Schedule : Monday – Friday 8 : 00 am-4 : 30 pm (snow team during the winter as needed)
Location : Staatsburg, NY
Pay range : $16-18 / hour based on years of experience.
Requirements : HS diploma / equivalent, cleaning experience, driver license.
Job duties : Ensure a clean, sanitary environment for all program participants and staff. Carries out the day-to-day cleaning, minor repairs as assigned, and major unit cleaning on a continuous rotating basis. Works independently or with a workgroup as established to accomplish assigned tasks. Works to the high standards of professionalism expected from all department employees.
- Performs assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and in a professional, workmanlike manner.
- Ensures areas of responsibility are clean and sanitary.
- Cleans and sanitizes as assigned to help prevent the spread of infection and provide a healthy atmosphere for all program participants and staff.
- Performs minor maintenance work as assigned.
- Properly uses tools and equipment necessary to complete the assigned tasks in a safe, effective manner.
- Requests assistance when necessary to ensure the assigned task is properly completed.
- Properly cares for tools and equipment used and immediately reports any malfunctions.
- Completes those jobs assigned from start to clean up and paperwork, maintaining a daily log to chronicle activities.
- The person in the position may be required to perform other duties as necessitated by the situation or requested by his / her supervisor
Salary : $16 - $18
