Description

Maintenance Tech 3rd Shift

 

Requirements:

 

  • Perform upgrades to refrigerated warehouse space with the Maintenance/Engineering team as required.
  • Maintain existing warehousing & production facilities in effective operating condition.
  • Inspect and repair machinery and facility systems like electrical and plumbing to avoid equipment failures and Downtime.
  • Coordinate project status with supervisor to prevent unplanned production downtime.
  • Required to work on all mechanical equipment repairs and maintenance programs, including supporting the development of a NORPEL PSM program and a PM program.
  • Attend calls on lines, working on planned and unplanned Maintenance work.
  • Complete Work Orders to include Annual, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily PM’s.
  • Support and manage Maintenance and Engineering projects as needed.
  • General building maintenance including light electrical.
  • Occasional repairs on material handling equipment.
  • Working with production leaders to improve efficiency of equipment and lines.

Qualifications


  • Ability to follow plans for repair and maintenance.
  • 2 years mechanical and electrical experience maintaining forklifts and warehouse equipment or combination of experience and trade school.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, sanders in the set up and fitting for welding or in finishing of welds.
  • Physically capable of lifting as much as one hundred pounds and carrying 50 pounds.
  • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well- organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in facility/factory maintenance, including with conveyor belts.
  • Previous experience in facility/factory refrigeration areas is desired.
  • Previous experience in facility/factory maintenance, including with conveyor belts, grinders, metal detectors, mills, and evaporators.
