Heavy Equipment Operator Job Summary
We have an immediate opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator. Candidates should have at least three (3) years of experience operating various heavy equipment, including front loaders, mini excavators, and bulldozers. Experience using GPS for building pads, roads, etc.. is required. Grading experience is a must! You will be responsible for inspecting equipment before and after you use it, as well as loading and unloading cargo. When necessary, you will also perform routine maintenance on the machines or recommend they be sent out for repairs. All equipment operators must follow company and governmental safety guidelines at all times. We are committed to ensuring your safety and will conduct drug testing for this position.
Heavy Equipment Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect large equipment before and after use to ensure they are working correctly.
- Load and unload cargo and move them to the appropriate staging area
- Follow all safety procedures while operating equipment
- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
- Report needs for more extensive repairs to the appropriate parties
Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Grading experience is a must.
- 3 years of experience running heavy equipment: dozer, track hoe, grader, etc..
- 3 years of GPS experience building pads, roads, etc..
- Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50 pounds
