At this time, a vacancy exists for a Life Skills Support Paraprofessional within the Norristown Area School District at Norristown Area High School.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or 48 Postsecondary Credits
- (Note: Candidates who do not possess either of the above may request to take a qualifying exam)
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of community resources and agencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Duties:
- Provides instructional support to students

Supports students with personal care skills including but not limited to toileting, handwashing, dressing, etc

Implement applied behavior analysis techniques
- Supports and assists students with the completion of assigned tasks either individually or in small groups
- Implement students' behavior plans
- Collect data
- Apply therapeutic aggression control techniques
- Performs related duties as required
- Supports students within the general education classrooms when necessary
Hourly Rate:
(based on education and experience)
$21.11-$27.62
Salary : $21 - $28
