Splash restaurant is the only restaurant on Ogunquit Beach. Our outdoor deck offers the full beach experience of spectacular views and ocean breeze. We are open from end of April to early November, and cater to tourists with a strong local following as well. We serve breakfast and lunch daily and have a full service bar that has both indoor and outdoor seating. Each year on July 4th we stay open until the annual fireworks display on Ogunquit Beach.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Bartender to be a leader at the bar and assist our Chef and Restaurant Supervisor in all aspects of restaurant operations. Communication and teamwork is key. A strong line leader who works best under pressure will thrive.

Daily Duties

• Completes all daily opening/closing reporting
• Perform side duties to ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe bar/restaurant
• Takes accurate orders and work with the entire team to deliver exceptional food, beverages, and service
• Guide guests through our menu
• Provides friendly and attentive service
• Liquor inventory and ordering
• Providing guidance and direction to the team, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance
• Some scheduling
• Checking with guests to ensure guest satisfaction and taking action to correct any problem
• Responsible for upkeep of the bar and surrounding lounge area for cleanliness
• Understand and follow through with all assigned tasks
• Clearly communicate with Back of House staff and Manager
• Contribute to a team effort accomplishing all tasks
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Professional attitude, knowledge, experience as a bartender
• Ability to engage guests in conversation and anticipate their needs
• Ability to bend, push, pull and lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for hours at a time
• High school degree or GED required
• Three years of recent experience as a lead bartender or as a bar/restaurant supervisor; or equivalent combination of recent experience and education
• Must be at least 21 years of age

The Norseman Resort on Ogunquit Beach is situated at the end of Beach Street, directly on the oceanfront. The remarkable location of this property offers incredible views of Ogunquit’s famous three mile stretch of sandy beach, the ever-changing tidal river, and the beautiful sand dunes in between.
In addition to the Norseman Resort we also operate the Aspinquid Resort and Seacastles Resort in Ogunquit.
