We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Designer to join our collaborative team. This role involves developing design concepts, producing detailed drawings, and working closely with clients, project managers, and contractors to bring ideas to life. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about architecture, interior design, and construction, with the ability to balance aesthetics and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and present innovative design concepts for custom residential projects.
- Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, renderings, and select materials.
- Engage with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budget.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure designs are executed seamlessly.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and make design adjustments as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and building codes to apply best practices.
- Utilize design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) to produce technical and visual presentations.
- Ensure all designs meet Norsk Design Build’s standards and exceed client expectations.
Ideal Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in architectural or interior design.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Strong understanding of space planning, materials, and construction processes.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for innovative, practical design solutions.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a plus.
- Experience with Buildertrend is a plus.
