Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Plant Accountant will perform accounting and reporting duties, such as day to day transactions, Month-End preparation, preparation of financial statements, various account analyses, preparation of SOX compliance documents. We are looking for a high-quality individual to fill this position at our Okarche, Oklahoma location. Job Responsibilities

• Generate and quantify cost savings opportunities, and supporting the plant management team with the implementation of cost reduction initiatives
• Prepare various Journal Entries
• Assist with the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually forecasts
• Perform Accounts Reconciliations
• Assist the Operation’s team with CER financial justifications for plant capital projects
• Manage the preparation and distribution of monthly/quarterly/annual plan and forecast reporting
• Review and analyze financial data and create reports on financial status based on the analysis results
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Assist in establishing labor standards
• Perform analysis around manufacturing standard cost variances, product profitability, inventory valuation, and other efficiency analysis
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis
• Support annual physical inventory
• Assist AP dept by matching invoices to purchase orders, help with the check run process, positive pay, and other tasks as needed
• Assist with the order entry process
• Assist with external auditors
• Other general accounting tasks
• Special projects as assigned
  
  

Required

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of the Accounting Cycle, Journal Entries, Reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail
• Power BI knowledgeable
• Good inter-personal skills in a Team environment
• Strong abilities to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Must be proactive and self-starter
