Job Summary
Greet everyone in a warm, welcoming manner, in order to create a positive first impression. Provide direction, information and escort as necessary to above population, while ensuring prompt attention to problems and safety. Accept and direct a variety of incoming phone calls. Direct volunteers assigned to the information desk in the performance of their services.
Experience
- One-year previous reception experience in a hospital, busy office setting or hospitality experience preferred .
- Excellent communication skills.
Education
- High school or equivalent preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Outstanding customer service skills, demonstrating a friendly, pleasant, and outgoing welcome when greeting anyone entering the medical center.
- Proven ability and experience dealing with agitated/dissatisfied persons.
- Manual dexterity necessary for computer purposes.
- Proven ability to handle multiple incoming telephone calls in addition to "in person" requests for assistance.
- Demonstrated high level of flexibility, with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to respond quickly and accurately in all emergency situations, while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English in a clear, understandable manner, using good grammar and appropriate language.
