What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Check-In Receptionist (Temp) position at North Alabama Bone & Joint Clinic?
Duties/Responsibilities*:
- Complete patient registration and check in process, verifying insurance benefits
- Obtain necessary referrals/orders.
- Collect and post patient copays and payments
- Scheduling appointments
- Manage clinician scheduling to ensure optimal scheduling for clinic to achieve Quality Index Minimal Productivity Standards (QIMPS)
- Assists patients as necessary. Contacts appropriate parties for transportation.
- Managing payment batches and submitting daily balance sheets
- Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to project a professional image with a strong sense of ethics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged standing and/or periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
