What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN EMERGENCY STAFF position at North Alabama Medical Center?
Education
Requires current nursing license form the Alabama Board of Nursing. Must have BLS and ACLS certification.
Experience
Requires at least one year of work experience. Surgical / PACU experience highly desirable.
The RN is responsible and accountable for providing and coordinating patient
care. The RN identifies and addresses patient's needs and priorities through assessment, planning
and collaboration with other health care providers. The RN will execute physician orders and
supervise the implementation of nursing interventions. The RN functions as a patient advocate
representing the patient's interests when illness prevents an individual from being physically or
emotionally able to express their own feelings or thoughts. The RN evaluates response to care
through the outcomes of clinical results, patient satisfaction and acceptable cost.
