Position Summary:
Security Guard
FLSA: Non-exempt
Reports to: Security Shift Supervisor and Security Captain
Responsible for monitoring security threats, managing incidents, ensuring safety protocol compliance, assisting staff and visitors
- Main responsibility is to protect people, property, information, and the hospital's reputation.
- Respond promptly to security emergencies within the hospital or healthcare setting
- May assist with receiving hospital deliveries at night and escort patients as needed
- Report directly to the security shift supervisor and security captain
- Assist patients when requested by medical or nursing staff, or when patients or their families require help or information
- Perform other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor, security captain, or facilities director
- Demonstrate good character, integrity, and motivation in all aspects of the role
- Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with middle to upper-level staff members
- Travel to nearby satellite facilities as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to ensure shift coverage
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license required
- Sign a HIPAA agreement and maintain confidentiality as required
