Summary :
Reporting to the Head of Mechanical & Electrical Estimating, the successful candidate will interact with mechanical, electrical and civil estimators on a regular basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a student with a passion for construction and a high level of detail and accuracy, to apply their recent knowledge and skills on a dynamic team.
Job Description :
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and information that are pertinent to the job at hand and the ability to pass that information to suppliers and / or subcontractors
- Communicate effectively with vendors and subcontractors and obtain competitive pricing in a timely fashion
- Perform basic take-offs and counts
- Maintain a comprehensive data base of all subcontractor and vendor contact information
- Attend all pertinent meetings while taking notes to maintain flow of information, as it pertains to the job in a clear and informative format, in support of the estimating team
