Designer/Drafter

Job Responsibilities

· Utilizes Inventor iLogic automation to generate air cooled heat exchanger (ACHE) models and production drawing packages per Sales/Customer requirements.

· Supports the customer design approval process from initial submission through fabrication release.

· Supports the submission of designs to third parties, such as Professional Engineers or Canadian design authorities, in a timely manner and in support of the production schedule.

· Produces the fabrication package for internal and external production.

· Utilizes Inventor iLogic automation to generate 2-dimensional production drawings and .dxf flat patterns for CNC plasma operations.

· Provides prompt support for customers, internal and external.

Required Skills, Traits, and/or Qualifications

· Experience or formal training in Autodesk Inventor strongly preferred

· Experience or familiarity with Autodesk Inventor iLogic strongly preferred

· Experience with ASME code compliance and calculations strongly preferred

· Strong desire to maximize departmental and company efficiency

· Positive, helpful attitude regardless of the situation

· Ability to communicate through all levels of the organization, as well as customer organizations

· Self-starter and sustainer

· Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree or formal certification in the area of Autodesk Inventor preferred.

Experience

3-5 years ACHE design experience and 1-year supervisory experience strongly preferred.(preferred)
