The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is seeking a full-time Certification Manager in their Clifton Park, NY office for immediate hire. This role is hybrid and will have the flexibility to work remotely with 1 to 2 days in office.
Job Title: Certification Manager
Job Summary: The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, small business that certifies renewable energy professionals. The Certification Manager shall have primary responsibility for the processing of NABCEP certification applications, including customer service throughout the application, examination, and certification process.
Principle Duties include all aspects of professional certification management including, but not limited to: manage exam logistics associated with the administration of the professional certification exams; coordinate volunteers for examination and technical committee activities; manage new program development; maintain program documents, processes and procedures for all committee and certification activities; develop new benefits for NABCEP certificants.
The Certification Manager will also assist in the planning of company events such as the annual Continuing Education Conference and may attend solar industry trade shows throughout the year.
Experience/Education Requirements: Qualified candidates must have solid knowledge of standard office procedures and computer programs, be highly organized and possess strong customer services skills. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and/or experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, credentialing, and program management.
Requires a 2-year degree, and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
Physical Requirements: Candidate must be comfortable sitting at a desk and using a computer for majority of the workday and be able to lift items weighing 30 pounds or less.
Availability: Candidate must be available to work standard office hours, 9 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday. After hours work may occasionally be required to meet special project deadlines.
Location: Clifton Park, NY 1 to 2 days per week, remote other days. Training period of 30 to 60 days will be in person in Clifton Park office.
Essential Competencies:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required, and proficiency in WordPress is preferred
- Excellent writing and telephone communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able to work independently and remotely

Pay: Hourly $28.00 to $30.00 an hour.
